This coin celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (the central bank of Austria), which was founded in 1816. Released in January 2016, it was highly anticipated by numismatists as it marked only the second time in history that Austria issued a unique national 2-euro commemorative design (outside of the joint European Union releases).
